Glossy screens are the cause of much suffering and misery in the world. Solved here with ViewGuard Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector. Feels like a new machine. Installation was fairly straight forward. I got a perfect fit and delighted to find there was no loss of image quality when the laptop was fired up. Fantastic! I bought the matte anti-glare guard for my laptop. I live in Arizona, and the day I applied the guard, the humidity was very low, around 16%. Although the instructions say that a few bubbles under the film surface will probably dissipate, I had around a hundred of them, and the more I worked to remove them, the worse it got. That day, with the humidity being so low, every time I touched anything I got a static shock. I think the film also had a static charge and was like a magnet to dust and debris in the air, despite my attempts to perform a very clean and proper installation. The bubbles never went away, and I tried to peel the film back to remove debris underneath, but that seemed to cause even more of a static issue and it escalated the problem. At that point I got into a chat session with ViewGuard representative Maya Nakamura who was very friendly and understanding. We discussed the humidity issue, and agreed that I would try to run the guard under some warm water to remove dust and try again. But she was very willing to simply send me a no-charge replacement film if I wished, and she was not requiring me to do anything to try to install the problematic one again. I wanted to at least try to clean the existing one and see if I could do it properly. We also discussed that I have hard well water here with a lot of minerals in it. She was honest about it when she said she didn't know if it would be an issue to use this kind of water on the film, and I appreciate the honesty. I tried to wash the film but it got marks probably from the well water and so I did end up requesting the replacement. It arrived very quickly, shipped the same day as when I requested it. I applied it successfully today. We have had a heavy wet snow storm for two days, and the humidity today is 82% compared to 16% like it was on the day I first tried to install the film. Dust didn't seem to stick to the film today, and I was able to install it properly. I think the humidity and static in the air made all the difference. I was particularly pleased that Maya was so willing to discuss all the influencing variables with me and was willing to simply replace the film to keep me, the customer, happy. I am VERY pleased with this kind of prompt, understanding, hassle-free customer support. I would suggest to the company that they mention humidity as a possible factor that could affect installation. Perhaps the company could experiment with installations in arid areas, in some kind of controlled experiment, and then make recommendations to consumers for proper conditions required for successful installations. Overall, I'm very happy. This inexpensive film saved a $1300 computer from being an expensive mistake. I'll never buy another glossy screen on a computer, but for now, this ViewGuard glare film saved the day.

This is the second ViewGuard Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector I've installed. It was a piece of cake to install. The first one was still in fantastic condition and would not of have had to be replaced if my laptop screen did not need to be replaced. It's so nice to be able to use my laptop in a nice bright house or even outside. I'm elderly and had not problem eliminating all air bubbles and avoiding dust.

First of all, let me say thank you ViewGuard. No longer will I have to deal with thumbprints all over my screen and finally have a protector that allows me to keep my beautiful iPad 3 away from scratches. No need to re-consider this purchase, I'm letting you know this screen is the way to go.

The ViewGuard Anti-Glare Matte Sreen Protector works wonderful, in the past I could see very little outside, even under a carport and with difficulty under electric light in the evening. With the anti-glare matte screen protector on my Lenovo G560 laptop, I can see almost everything, even in direct sunlight. I view real-time camera transmissions from my model plane on my laptop and now I can finally see the picture clearly in sunlight, previously I had to cover my head and the laptop with a large towel. There is so little loss, if any, of screen and colour brightness with the screen protector on, that I cannot notice the difference. This is money very well spent.

This ViewGuard Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector if fabulous! Easy to install and it really really works! I have a huge window behind me and I alway have to have my screen on an angle - NOT ANY MORE! I would highly recommend this product.

I hate glossy screens because my work area has lots of lights. But the notebook I wanted only had a glossy screen option. Finally, I stumbled upon this product from a random tech site review. I thought I would give them a chance. And I am so glad that I did. My screens looks amazing. As good as if not better than a factory matte screen. It took a couple trials to put it on but it was a 13.3" screen. Even 4" phone screen protectors can be difficult to put on. The size was cut perfectly. Very little space between the protector and the bezel. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Good product on its own. Great product when compared to other products. I purchased this product and it was great. The bubbles are the only thing that was hard to remove but I was able to do it after several minutes. I made the mistake of removing it and I bought another from Best Buy that was 3x the price. Big mistake! I purchased an new ViewGuard one ASAP.

I am so happy to finally have a working anti-glare screen protector for my iPad. The cheap $0.99 ones on line don't hold up, the anti glare coating scratches off usually during the application. This one has held up for a few months already, which beats the competition by far. It also feels much sturdier an helps block the glare.

The item was easy to install and the free cleaner that was included was great. Installation was very easy and resulted in a clear view of the screen on the iPad i was using it on. The matte screen protector makes my screen comfortable to use since glossy reflects so much light and was fairly easy to apply (well, I got cats…).

If you are using your device in the sun, this is a good way to reduce glare. These work pretty well at reducing, but not eliminating the glare. For the price, I think it works great.

The anti-glare film does exactly what it says & fits perfectly. Wish I had known such a thing existed a couple years ago. I have been very frustrated by the inability to use my laptop outside & the difficulty in viewing where there are lots of lights. Can't wait to use it on stage during Karaoke.

I get headaches from the glare of reflective screens so found ViewGuard for my Asus laptop. It was an easy decision to buy one for my iPad. Because of my past experience, I knew to completely clean the work area, make sure the cats were in another room, and to have a lint remover roller at my side. It took me almost 1/2 hour and 7 to 8 tries to get the screen protector on the glass without specs of dust under it. I placed it, and removed it, running the lint roller over it and re-cleaning the glass each time. I also found that it was more effective to place the entire protector down on the screen at once, not working from corner to corner. There were quite a few air bubbles but they weren't as annoying as the dust specs. When removing bubbles, move one bubble into another to make each one larger. They're easier to move off to the side when they're larger. I use a Wacom Bamboo stylus and use Noteshelf every day at work for meeting notes. I have found a slight difference in the continuous strokes of handwriting with the anti-glare protector over the screen, but the ease on my eyes more than makes up for that. ViewGuard impacts the stylus the least of any I've used.

I was hesitant to get a cover for the iPad screen, since I had been told by the sales representative about the fancy oleophobic coating and had some concerns about touch sensitivity with a cover. However, after using the ViewGuard Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector now for a couple of weeks, I can say I am pleasantly surprised with the product. Application is standard (always a fleck of dust in the middle you can't quite get rid of, frustrating). Touch responsiveness is better than I expected, though there are still occasional taps I need to repeat. The anti-glare protection is good, allowing visibility in all but direct sunlight. All in all, a solid product.

Recently bought an Anti Glare Protector. Great Product! It works as well as we hoped, and better than expected. The Customer Service is excellent also.

It took a little while to get it on right, but it was worth every second. The ViewGuard Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector made a dramatic difference with glare. I can finally use my laptop beside windows and underneath lights without full brightness killing my battery life! The price threw me off at first, but it was definitely worth it. If you don't have steady hands, try getting someone else to apply it for you. Make sure you clean off all the dust first!

Because it works! I bought it to reduce or eliminate the reflections on my laptop screen, and it did the job.

Amazing, it wasn't that difficult to install and what few bubbles that I couldn't get rid of are now gone...less than 24 hours!! Absolutely love this. Now will have to get one for my point and shoot camera.
